Our House

Home Up

How to turn an empty site into a home...

Start with empty site - add sea and mountain views as required. Mark out site and begin hole for basement. Dig big hole... Bigger...
That's it!
Start building up...
Add plenty of steel and more concrete... Add 'shuttering' for the walls then more concrete... Concrete arrives in a mixer and is pumped into place.
Basement complete - start the garden wall. Make concrete 'pads' for the rest of the house. Add more shuttering, steel and of course concrete... Pour yet more concrete to complete the ground floor.
Create concrete columns to support the first floor. Columns complete, start shuttering for the first floor. Add lots of steel and any pipes that might be needed later. Pour concrete then prepare columns for roof.
Pour yet more concrete to make the roof. Build all internal and external walls in brick. The finished structure! Add door frames and electrical conduits.
Prepare the pool... Add more electrics and central heating pipes... The central heating features two 'manifolds', one upstairs and one down... Plaster the house outside...
Waterproof roof then add roof tiles... Nearly finished! 'Screed' the floors then begin to tile... Keep going!
...up the walls too. Meanwhile, add some stairs on the patio... ...prepare the driveway... ...and apply stone finishes.
Inside, the fireplace takes shape... ...while the windows are being fitted outside. The kitchen is fitted next. Then lay the patio areas and paint the outside.
Hey Presto!
It is finished!
Just the garden to begin now L Patio and pool
(and Mt. Olympus)
Air conditioners and gas tank.
The rear (and the washing) Freshly planted garden... ...and the garden again.
(over 500 plants, trees and shrubs)
Finished!
